Ijaw chief describe Wike’s victory, as daylight robbery

By: Felix Ikpotor

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chief Anabs Sara-Igbe, has faulted the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to declare Nyesom Wike, Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, winner of the March 9, 2019 Governorship and State House of Assembly election in Rivers State.

Sara Igbe, who is a high chief of the Kalabari extraction in Rivers State and also the spokesman of PANDEF, described the declaration as ‘a daylight robbery and monumental fraud.’

He accused INEC of dancing to Wike’s tune, adding that necessary actions would be taken to challenge the declaration made by the Commission.

Wike defeated the candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Biokpomabo Awara with a wide margin to win re-election.

However, the APC backed AAC says it will challenge the decision in court.

Sara-Igbe had earlier in the week led a protest against the declaration of the result by INEC.
