PDP Chairman, lawmakers celebrate Wike’s tribunal victory

Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and the Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah on Monday celebrated the re-election victory of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike by the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal.

The lawmakers who gathered at the office of the Deputy Speaker, RT Hon Ehie Edison said that the Tribunal validated the mandate that Rivers people  freely gave to  Wike on March 9, 2019.

Convener of the get-together and Deputy Speaker of the assembly, Ehie Edison said that Rivers people overwhelmingly voted for Governor Wike because of his outstanding performance during his first term.

He said that the lawmakers  are happy  that the Governorship Election Tribunal  affirmed  the election of  Wike, adding that the lawmakers  will continue  to support  the governor  to deliver  the dividends  of democracy.

Obuah said that Rivers people re-elected Wike on March 9, 2019 because they  believe  he has the capacity  to develop  the state.
