By: Felix Ikpotor

Gunmen have sacked two communities in Ogoni in Rivers State in the space of two days.

This is as suspected cultists on Wednesday morning, raided Taabaa community in Nyo-khana kingdom, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

At press time, community sources say at least four persons were murdered in the early morning raid.

The raid comes barely 24 hours after gunmen invaded Okwale community in the area, leaving at least four persons dead while properties worth millions were destroyed.

The source said the killing left the community in a state of commotion, adding that the gunmen shot sporadically for hours while the attack lasted.

The Rivers State police command is yet to react to Tuesday’s killing.

The killings in Ogoni has become unabated despite several security meetings called by leaders of the area including the Supreme Council of Ogoni Traditional Rulers who had a security meeting recently in Tai local government area.
