There was pandemonium at in the Rumuodara Junction axis of Port Harcourt as a trailer loaded with goods reportedly crushed a girl to death.
The incident occurred in front of a popular fast food in the area.
It was gathered that the trailer shattered the head of the girl in the accident.
Eyewitnesses said that the victim was trying to cross the busy express road when she was crushed, adding that the incident caused major traffic build up in the area
The deceased corpse was subsequently taken to the mortuary while the driver of the trailer and his vehicle were handed over to the Okporo Police Station.
Officers at the station confirmed that the driver and vehicle were in their custody, adding that necessary steps are being taken to ensure justice is done in the matter.
