NDDC shutdown hours after EDFA’s death

…  Order  staff to go on self isolation

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has shut down operation for two weeks following the death of its acting Executive Director of Finance and Accounts, Chief Ibanga Bassey Etang.

Etang died at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, in Port Harcourt.

from an undisclosed ailment about 2am Thursday morning.

Sources disclosed that Etang has been sick for over two weeks now.

A memo signed by Barrister Silas Anyanwu on behalf of management of the commission and sighted by this publication directed staffers to go on self isolation for fourteen days pending other directives from the commission.

It ordered the Head, Security to ensure that all properties of the commission is secured while the Director of Administration was directed to fumigate all offices in the commission before reopening.
