Internal crisis claims five OSPAC operatives in Rivers community

Reports say internal wrangling followed by attack on each other by members of ONELGA Security and Advisory Committee, OSPAC, on e has resulted in the death of at least five of its operatives.

The five members of the local vigilante group were killed during an internal leadership tussle in Egi land, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers State.

The incident we learnt occurred on Tuesday at Ahiahu junction in Erema axis of the Egi land.

It was reported that the vigilante members turned their weapons against themselves over alleged financial misappropriation and disagreement over leadership responsibilities.

Community sources further said the coordinator of the vigilante group in the community was shot dead during the fracas while the secretary sustained life-threatening injuries, and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

The Rivers State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident at the time of this report.
