Rivers Police parades suspected serial rapist

The Rivers State Police Command, on Thursday, paraded a suspected rapist who allegedly lures his victims from an online dating site known as Tinder, drugs, rapes and steals from his victims in Port Harcourt.

The suspect who identified himself as Favour Iyama hails from Bakana in Rivers state.

While being cross examined by journalists, Mr Iyama confessed to the allegations but said he did not rape or drugged them, rather they had consensual sex after which the lady in question demanded for twenty thousand naira, but fled after the lady slept off.

He confessed that he gets his victims from Tinder – an online dating platform where he poses as Hilary.

According to the police spokesperson, SP Nnamdi Omoni, “Iyama was arrested at market square Odili Road, Port Harcourt after he was identified by a victim whom he had raped and stolen from after lodging her in a hotel.

Mr. Omoni confirmed that the suspect has drugged and raped over 20 women, took their debit cards and withdrawn money from their accounts.

A few days ago, the video of a lady shouting at a man in a shopping mall in Port Harcourt went viral as the lady was seen accusing the man- who asked that they stop recording him of drugging and raping her.

After the video went viral, several ladies who had been his victims came out to attest to his brutality.
