NLNG clears air on COVID-19 donations to Rivers

The management of the Nigeria Liquefied National Gas (NLNG) has provided clarification on its contribution to the Rivers State Government’s containment effort against the COVID-19 pandemic last year.

In a release signed by the Manager Corporate Communication and Public Affairs, Dr Sophia Horsfall, the company noted that while it donated N825 million worth of medical supplies and support materials only to the State Government, it erroneously printed N825 billion in its 2021 calendars and diaries.

“NLNG regrets any discomfort this misprint may have brought on the Rivers State Government, one of our key stakeholders who we hold in high esteem,” it said.

The company reiterated the premium it places on the contributions of its stakeholders to its success and pledged not to deviate from its core values which includes respect and appreciation for all its partners in its operations.
