2022 World Cup Qualifiers: Amiesimaka Stadium, 6 others get FIFA approval

The Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt is among seven stadiums approved by world football governing body FIFA for home games of the Super Eagles in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The other stadiums approved by FIFA includes; MKO Abiola National Stadium Abuja, Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos, the Akwa Ibom International Stadium Uyo, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

 The Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba and Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City were also given pass mark by FIFA.

PhSpectator gathered that the National Stadium Surulere Lagos, which is presently undergoing renovation, was not approved.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Liberia in the second round of  qualifiers for the world cup in June at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Meanwhile, Manager of the Nigerian National Team, Gernot Rohr has picked Akwa Ibom Stadium as his best because of the size of the pitch and the hotel facilities available to the team.
