Cassava plant: Khana communities in Oyigbo commend Wike

The chief and people of Tumbee  Community of Lekuma Khana Area of Ogoni in Oyigbo Local Government Area  of Rivers State have commended  the state governor, Nyesom  Wike on his visit to their community for the commissioning  of the Rivers State Cassava Processing Plant in the area.

A statement jointly signed by the paramount ruler of the community, Chief  Stephenson Aanu Leage and the spokesman, Prince  Divine Manson Barifodum  said  the entire residents of the  fifteen Communities of Lekuma Khana Area of Oyigbo LGA are happy with  Governor Wike for citing the project in their community, stating that the governor’s visit to the area is the first of its kind and the best thing that would ever happened to the people as it afford the Governor opportunity to know the truth and see things for himself , especially the complete  absence of social amenities in their communities.

 The statement added that the visit affords the Governor an  opportunity to attend to the numerous  challenges facing the people such as the issues of unemployment and incessant attacks and incursion o their lands by her neigbhours and unidentified attackers .

It  called on the entire people of the area to come out in their  numbers to welcome the governor.
