National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Tai Local Government branch in Rivers State has condemned the alleged gruesome murder of one Miss Glory Adamne from Gbam Community in the area by her boyfriend, one Dickson Edet from Akwa Ibom State.
Coordinator of NYCN in Tai, Comrade Dimkpa Kingsley in a statement said there was no moral justification for killing an innocent girl over domestic disagreement.
The deceased who was said to be a hair stylist lived with her suspected murderer-boyfriend in a village in Igbo-Etche axis of the state where the incident occurred.
It was reported that before the incident last week, the duo have been having issues resulting to the suspected killer assaulting the deceased on several occasions.
Dimkpa called on law enforcement agencies to take commensurable action against the suspect as to assuage the pains of the deceased family.
He also used the opportunity to condole with the family of the deceased, promising to follow up the matter until justice is served on the killer.
Edet, we learnt is already in police custody.
Meanwhile, the State Police Command was yet to confirm the incident at the time of this report.
