2023 Rivers Guber: SSG distance self from jingle

By: Admin

Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Secretary to Rivers State Government has distanced himself from a purported jingle on a radio station in the state calling for support for him to run for the 2023 governorship election in the state.

Danagogo in a statement by his media aide, Juliana Masi described the sponsors of the jingle as miscreant being used by political detractors.

The statement reads:

Our attention has been drawn to a jingle on Rhythm 93.7 FM, by some miscreants sponsored by political opponents and detractors using the pseudonym – ” Young Jack” purporting to call for support for Dr Tammy Danagogo.

It beats our imagination how a supposedly responsible media organisation will take adverts about a prominent citizen like the SSG from faceless characters without cross checking from us.

We disassociate Dr. Tammy Danagogo from the said jingle and emphatically state that it is targeted at distracting him from performing his official duties.

Media houses and members of the general public are warned to be wary of unscrupulous elements who are bent on creating unnecessary distractions in the polity.

Juliana Masi

Press Officer,

Office of the Secretary to the Rivers State Government.
