Chidi Lloyd vows to end oil bunkering, cultism in Emohua

Executive Chairman of Emouha Local Government Council in Rivers State, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, has vowed to build a strong synergy with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to put an end to the rising cases of illegal oil bunkering and cult activities in parts of the Local Government Area.

This is as he announced the dissolution of all political appointments and committees in the council.

Lloyd made the announcement when he resumed duty at the council secretariat in Emouha.   

The new council boss on arrival at the council secretariat expressed displeasure over the condition of the council secretariat and declared a no-work-no-pay policy for the council staff.

He frowned at the absence of council staff in their duty posts as he toured round the different departments in the council secretariat.

Consequently the council chairman directed the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) to immediately transfer the clerk of Emouha Local Government Legislative Assembly for lack of diligence to duty.

Emphasizing on the need for all council staff to always be at their duty posts to justify pay, Lloyd said his administration will not tolerate any form of irresponsibility from any staff of the council.

He said it is compulsory for all council staff from the council chairman himself down to the least staff to be at their duty posts from Mondays to Fridays every week. He also promised to give attention to the welfare of the council staff.

The brand new council chairman of reiterated his commitment to ensure that all the directives given to the council chairmen by Governor Wike during their inauguration was swiftly adhered to.

He added that his administration will match words with actions in his resolve to change the narrative in the local government area.
