Rivers council boss passes on

Chairman of Bonny local government area in Rivers State, David Irimagha has been reported dead.

He reportedly died yesterday.

Although, the reason for his death is yet unknown but some of his colleagues have started sending in their condolences to his family and people of the council.

Chairman of Ikwerre LGA, Samuel Nwanosike in a social media message said: “It is with profound sadness and deep sorrow that i learned of the recent demise of Hon. David Rogers Irimagha, the Executive Chairman of Bonny Local Government area.

“In this hour of grief, my family and the people of Ikwerre LGA join in extending our sincere condolence and heartfelt sympathy to his family”.

Also, chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Michael John Williams, on behalf of the people of DELGA, sympathize with the entire people of Bonny LGA, over the shocking death of  Engr. David Irimagha R, who died on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

He added: “he was until his death, a committed party faithful and a two-term Chairman of Bonny LGA, who contributed profoundly to the peace and unity of Bonny Island and its satellite communities.

As we mourn his untimely passing, we pray God Almighty to comfort his immediate and extended families, political associates and dependants, as well as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) family in Bonny and Rivers State at large”.

On his part, chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Council expresses deep shock at the news of the death of the council boss.

He said: “Hon. Irimagha was a very good man and one whose tenure, though short-lived, has birthed very commendable and enviable exploits to his people.

We commiserate with the immediate family he has left behind especially, and also send our heartfelt condolences to the good people of Bonny Local Government Area”.
