Bandits kill 35, burn family alive in fresh Jos attack

No fewer than 35 persons were killed in Yelwa Zangam community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The  armed bandits reportedly attacked the community in the early hours of Wednesday.

The attackers had disabled the bridge leading to the community preventing any access to help before launching their assault.

It was also learnt that an entire family was burnt alive in their home.

The attack is coming barely 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari pledged support for victims of violent clashes in Plateau State.

When contacted, the Plateau State Police Command, Ubah Ogaba confirmed the incident.
