KENPOLY ASUP honours Ken-Khana monarch

Gbenemene, Ken-Khana Kingdom in Rivers State, Mene Barile Yornah Deebom has been honoured with an Order of Peace Award by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic chapter.

Mene Deebom was honoured alongside other well-meaning Rivers indigenes at the flag-off and launching of a Research Centre/Secretariat Project by KENPOLY ASUP held at the schools convocation arena in Bori.

Responding to the award, Deebom urged all youths to love education as it remains the bedrock of the society’s development.

He thanked the union for finding him worthy and pledged that he will continue to use his office for the betterment of his people.

According to him, “this institution has created a lots of job opportunity to our sons and daughters, I will not fail to acknowledge the efforts of our forefathers as well as the Rivers State Government for their numerous roles towards the establishment of this institution.

“We must ensured we stop all forms of negative vices such as cultism, exams malpractices and sorting,” Deebom stated.
