Wike dissolves Ajuru University Governing Council

Rivers  State Governor,  Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has ordered the dissolution of the Governing council of  Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.

This was contained in a statement by the state commissioner for education, Professor Kaniye Ebeku.

No reason was given for the dissolution.

The statement directed council members to hand over all university property in their possession to the vice chancellor of the university, Prof Ozo- Mekuri Ndimele.
