As politicking for 2023 takes centre stage, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu has called on Rivers people and Nigerians to support  Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to succeed his boss as president of Nigeria.

Ojudu made the call at a consultative meeting with stakeholders in Rivers State on Monday courtesy the Osinbajo/Zulum Mass Movement.

He expressed assurance that Osinbajo would make a better president if elected in 2023.

Ojudu said: “Come 2023, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will be seeking the ticket of our party to become the president of this great country, therefore, we are seeking your hand in partnership to bring this country to be at par with the other countries of the world; we are calling on you so that we can put this man who has been tried and tested with position of power in our great country”.

“Osinbajo is loved by Nigerians both Muslims and Christians. People have seen in him a genuine leader, a man who is truly detrabalised, a man who is fair, reachable and treats everyone alike”.

He added: “His goal is to lead this country, his desire is to see us proper so we have a gold in our hands and it’s our duty to see how to market this gold to Nigerians”.

“As Vice President, when President Muhammadu Buhari went on medical leave, he acted for a period of time and every Nigerian has been commending that period of time as a time that was good for Nigeria”.

While calling for support, the presidential adviser assured that if Osinbajo becomes president of Nigeria, in two years, everywhere would be transformed as he will put an end to the corruption going on in the country.

On restructuring of the country, Ojudu said Osinbajo believes in restructuring and is willing to put in machineries to galvanise the National Assembly to work in that direction.

Earlier in his remarks, Founder of the Osinbajo/Zulum Mass Movement, Chief Sunnie Chukumele expressed confidence in the ability of Osinbajo to transform Nigeria into a better country.

“The most important thing is for him to accept to run and we are confident that he will win. He has all the qualifications to be president. Nigerians have seen him before as acting president and therefore there is no other person that has the qualification more than him to be president of Nigeria. He  had been loyal and never betrayed his principal while he acted as  president of this country,” he said.

Chukumele assured that Rivers people are ready to work for the success of the vice president.

He further charged members of the group to go all out and mobilise and ensure that Osinbajo becomes president of the country in 2023 as he alone has the capacity to turn around the fortunes of the country.

Chukumele who is a titled chief in Emohua local government area of Rivers State said, already, the movement is in twenty six states of the country seriously canvassing for support.
