Days after an operative of OSPAC, a local vigilante  shot dead an Air Force officer after an altercation in Omuanwa Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State,  operatives of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Rivers State Police Command have started raiding and destroying some camps belonging to the local security outfit.

It was gathered that OSPAC camps in Omademe and Igwuruta communities in the area were on last Friday, raided by the police team.

A detachment of military officers presumed to be the deceased Air force officer’s colleagues had earlier last week, stormed Omuanwa and razed the OSPAC camp there.

It was reported that the operatives stormed the camps and destroyed properties of the local vigilante group, while the members escaped.

Reacting, the leader of the local vigilante group in Omademe community, Samuel Adele in a statement said they were surprised by the actions of the police.

He explained that they have no disagreement with the police and wondered why they decided to raid their camps.

Samuel also called on relevant authorities to call the anti-cultism unit to order.
