Rivers council approves grants for law students, 350 undergraduates

Chairman of  Abua/Odual Local Government Area of Rivers State, Daniel Daniel has approved grants to Abua/Odual 2022 candidates to the Bar at the Nigerian Law School.

Daniel has also approved and paid grants to all students from the local government area who are presently in the Nigerian Law School.

Speaking at the LG Headquarters, Daniel said that the gesture was one of his numerous contributions in the education section, adding that it would help support human capital development in the area.

He said that the gesture has further demonstrated his administration’s genuine commitment in developing the youths through academics and promoting legal education among indigenes of the LGA.

It would be recalled that Daniel had carried out similar scheme in previous academic session.

He also paid students’ bursary to over 350 undergraduates in various tertiary institutions of Abua/Odual extraction.

Daniel has also directed the Supervisor for Education, Dr. Iboh Okidim, to forward a comprehensive list of postgraduate students from the council  for immediate payment of their bursary.
