2023: We are ready to mobilise for Abe- RVF

By: Felix Ikpotor

Sequel to the declaration of  interest by Senator Magnus Ngei Abe to contest the 2023 Governorship Elections in Rivers State, a group, the Rivers Voice of Freedom (RVF) has pledged to rally support for the former kawmaker.

RVF which is a grassroots mobilisation group in the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), came out with this during the inauguration of its ward executives  in Ahoada East local government area of the state.

President-General of RVF, Dominic Dumekpigi while speaking on behalf of the group expressed excitement at the decision by Abe to answer the call to serve the people of the state as governor.

Dumekpigi said, “Ours is to ensure that the dream of Most Distinguished Senator Magnus Ngei Abe is achieved which is to ensure that we mobilise the people from the grassroots and to make sure they don’t sell their conscience and I can assure you that the people are ready to stand behind Senator Abe”.

He charged the newly inaugurated executives to go all out to canvass support for Senator Abe.

“We have charged them to go back to their units and galvanised support for Abe and give them the message of liberation so they will not fall into the hands of political deceivers who would want to bribe them on election day”.

“The people are tired of a system of deceit, they are tired of a system that does not give them proper representation, a system whereby one man will take all that belongs to the people and that’s why we are supporting Senator Magnus Ngei Abe,” he said.

Also speaking, the Rivers West  Senatorial Director of the group, Magnus Anukwube said Abe is a sellable candidate and as such mobilising for him is easy.

” Mobilising for Abe is very easy because he’s a sellable candidate, he’s the best amongst all the aspirants and if  Rivers APC is ready to win election, they should field Senator Abe,” he stated.

Highpoint of the event was the issuing of a communique by the Ahoada East Constituency stakeholders wherein they unanimous adopted Abe as their governorship candidate.
