FRSC Zone 6 gets new commanding officer

Following the recent promotion and redeployment of senior officers in the Federal Road Safety Corps, and his subsequent deployment to Zone 6 Headquarters, Assistant Corps Marshal Jonathan A. Owoade has assumed  duty as the new Zonal Commanding Officer Zone 6 Headquarters Port Harcourt in charge of Rivers, Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa States.

He took over from   ACM Chidiebere Nkwonta.

On his assumption of duty, the new Zonal Commanding Officer in his maiden meeting with his four Sector Commanders and Zonal Command Heads of Departments while seeking their cooperation to succeed, tasks them to uphold high levels of discipline which is key to the success of every organization, stressing that without discipline nothing can be achieved.

He challenged the officers of the zone to improve on enforcement of traffic violators especially critical offences that could lead to road traffic crashes, ensure timely report rendition,  monitor activities of Local Government Station Officers and Tank Farmers for maximum input and data collation; and to desist from concealment of staff sickness  among others.

Owoade reminded them that he is not in Port Harcourt to victimise anyone, rather his door will be open to anyone who is ready to discuss relevant issues for the betterment of the Corps, advising  them to avoid rumour mongering.

He pledged to remain steadfast, committed and dedicated to his duties as he enjoins the public to share in the FRSC vision of making Nigerian roads safer for all motorists in his Zonal Command jurisdiction and Nigeria at large.
