By: Emmanuel Nlewedum

Non indigenes across the twenty three local government areas in Rivers State have thrown their weight behind the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The non-indigenes, took their position during the inauguration of the Rivers State Non Indigenous Group for Asiwaju (RISNIGA), in Port Harcourt.

Performing the inauguration,  Global Chairman of BATS-Vanguard, Amb. Owotomobi Dare charged the leadership of the newly inaugurated group to mobilize for the aspiration of their leader, Tinubu.

He said Tinubu is the right man to solve Nigeria’s numerous problems, ranging from insecurity, development, economy etc, describing him as the best sellable candidate in the APC.

He added that Tinubu has proven his capacity to lead Nigeria in different ways even as the Governor of Lagos state.

“Lagos state is about the 4th largest city in Africa, Tinubu did it. Why can’t we allow him to make things work again in Nigeria,” he said.

On his part, South South Zonal Chairman and Rivers State Coordinator of BATS-Vanguard, Chief Tony Okocha said Tinubu is the best man Nigeria needs at the moment as president.

Okocha, who described the former Lagos state governor as the voice of democracy and a lifetime achiever said, “when the country needed a voice to speak, it was Tinubu”.

Explaining why Rivers people must support Tinubu’s presidential aspiration, Okocha said, “For us in Rivers State, it is a payback time for Tinubu. When we lost the structure under Amaechi’s administration then in PDP, Tinubu came to our rescue.

“He has what it takes, intellectually to fix Nigeria. He has the charisma and exceptional leadership acumen. Nobody can take away the fact that Tinubu is an achiever. Tinubu is the highest investor in Lagos and Nigeria and we need him”.

Earlier, Rivers State Coordinator of RISNIGA and State Representative of BATS-Vanguard, Dr. Prince Adeleke Jones said the group has shown commitment that they are for Asiwaju.

Jones noted that RISNIGA is an extraction of BATS-Vanguard and that they are determined to give Bola Ahmed Tinubu all their needed support to succeed.

He expressed optimism that Tinubu will be the next president of Nigeria.

“We are not expecting anything other than victory.

“The man we are following, Bola Amhed Tinubu is not a man that will fail us, he is a man that will say a thing and he will do it, Nigeria needs him now at this time, and that is why we are here in our numbers to support him,” he said.
