Abueh’s death, painful – Abe

Former representative of Rivers South-East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has condoled the people of Okwale in Nyo-khana District of Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State over the death of their son, Monday Abueh, a retired Comptroller-General of Customs.

Abe, in a statement signed by his spokesperson Parry Saroh Benson, described the death of late Monday Abueh as painful and shocking.

He said it was a great loss to the good people of Ogoni as Abueh was not only a leading business man but one whose investments in Ogoni-land has added value and increased the economic life of the people.

The Senator said: “Late Monday Abueh even in retirement continued to invest in people and in Ogoni-land. His economic and social footprints are visible across Rivers State and beyond.

“Thus, Monday Abueh would be greatly missed because of his commitment and love for business development and economic improvement of his people.

“I pray that other Ogoni business men will key into the vision and desire of Monday Abueh to invest into Ogoni-land in order to lift the people from economic strangulation.

“May his soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord”.
