Former Rivers lawmaker, Nke-ee joins SDP

A former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chief Friday  Nubari Nkee-ee has joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Nkee-ee, popularly called ‘Fenko’ who also was a former commissioner of sports in the state last week, resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said  his ambition to represent the people of Khana and Gokana in the House of Representatives is now secured with the SDP.

“I have  defected from the All Progressives Congress party to the Social Democratic Party where my House of Representatives ticket is firmly secured  to represent the good people of Khana/ Gokana Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Election”, he said in a statement signed on Monday.

Nkee-ee who  represented Khana State Constituency 2 in the 7th Rivers State Assembly, had in a resignation letter addressed to the APC Chairman in Ward 5, Khana Local Government Area last weekend, said the APC has no value for its members.

“It is unreasonable to continue to remain in a family that does not value your person and contribution to the sustainability, stability and growth of the family”, the former  lawmaker declared.
