Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Chris Finebone has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Finebone who confirmed the defection in a short statement yesterday after meeting with the state governor, Nyesom Wike insisted that the governorship candidate of the PDP in the state, Siminialayi Fubara is his brother.
Although he didn’t give reasons for his defection, but many believed that the prospect of his local government area , Opobo producing a governor for the first time since the creation of the state may have informed his decision.
Finebone just two days ago, issued a statement wherein he lambasted Wike for his decisions in the state.
His defection comes barely a day after Dr. Dawari George, a former ally of Rotimi Amaechi clinched the gubernatorial ticket of the Action Alliance in the state.
