Rivers: Okpe presents official cars to vice chairman, others

As part of effort to aid the mobility of key staffers, Chairman of Tai Local Government Area in Rivers State, Sir Mbakpone Okpe Friday has handed over official vehicles to the Vice Chairman, Leader of the Council’s Legislative Assembly  and Secretary to the Council.

Okpe while handing over the car keys to the beneficiaries said that by law, they are entitled to official vehicles.

He noted that the officials have been discharging their official duties  without an official vehicle and did not complained because they placed service delivery to Tai people above their personal comfort. He said the vehicles is essential to aid their mobility and other official duties.

The Cars that were handed over to them includes: A Toyota Venza for the Vice Chairman Hon. Caroline Amanwa, a Lexus ES 350 for the Leader of Council Rt Hon. Kenude Levi and a Toyata Camry (Spider) for the Secretary of Council Sir Joseph AkpoBari Gwezia.

Responding oin behalf of the beneficiarfies,  Caroline Amanwa, the council’s vice chairman expressed appreciation to the council chairman  for the gesture.

Similarly, Sir Mbakpone Okpe also extended his magnanimity to the Nigeria Army by procuring a motorcycle to ease their movement on some track roads in the communities.
