Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State yesterday hosted South South PDP Governors in Yenagoa.
The governors were Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 general election, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, who is also the Chairman of the Atiku/Okowa campaign Council and Dr. Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
Addressing newsmen after a closed-door meeting in Government House, Okowa assured of reconciliation with the G-5 Governors
“Very soon there will be a meeting between the presidential candidate with the G-5 Governors.
So obviously, everything is being put in place to reconcile all differences and move together as a family.”
The host governor, Senator Douye Diri assured of victory for all PDP candidates stating that South-South is PDP.
“South-South is a PDP region, South-South is a place where no other party can contend except PDP.
“I assure you that in all the elections from the Presidency to the Governors, the National Assembly, and the States Assembly, PDP will again triumph,” Governor Diri said.
The Edo State Governor, Obaseki also assured Atiku/Okowa of their total support.
“We are here to assure them and give them all the support that is required, which may also include reaching out to our other brother in zone.”
