Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hope Ikiriko has received more APC members from Ward 3, 5, 7, 11 and 12 as they officially returned to the People’s Democratic Party PDP from the All Progressive Congress APC.
Receiving the returnees at the council secretariat in Akinima, Ikiriko, on behalf of the leader of the party in the state, Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, welcomed the defectors into the party with an assurance of fairness.
The chairman also promised inclusiveness of the returnees in all government policies and programmes.
The decampees promised to join hands with the leadership of the party and work for its success in the 2023 general elections.
Some of the Leaders of the groups are: Comr. Pasino, High Chief Chidi Ruben, Mr. Louis Onoleka, Blessing Igbechi, Happy Odhior, and Onyemachi Obidiah.
Present at the event were: Comr. Sokari Goodboy Sokari, Ahoada West House Of Assembly Candidate; Ms. Uyi Eunice, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman; Ward Chairmen, Political Appointees, Aides to the Executive Chairman and party Faithfuls.
