We’ve fulfilled our promises to Elele people, says Wike

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike says delivering of the internal roads in Elele community is proof of a fulfilled promise to the people.

Inaugurating the Elele Internal Roads in Ikwerre Local Government Area on Tuesday, governor Wike said the project was flagged-off five and half months ago with a promise to inaugurate it before leaving office.

He said barely six days to end of his tenure, he is in Elele community to inaugurate the project as promise made, promise fulfilled.

Governor Wike stated how gratifying it is to witness the belief expressed by Rivers people in him and his administration.

This, according to him, is owing to the fact that he has remained true to his word as different from other politicians who do not keep promises.

He stressed that any project he had promised and started construction work, has always been delivered.

Governor Wike also thanked Elele people and indeed all residents of Ikwerre Local Government Area for their electoral support that contributed to the impressive victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in Rivers State.

In his description of the project, Rivers State Commissioner for Works, Dr. George-Kelly Dakorinama Alabo said 12 separate roads constituting the Internal Roads in Elele community that were reconstructed.

Dr. Alabo explained that the roads that measure 9 kilometres were delivered within a completion period of five and half months.
