Wike seals hotel, bar belonging to Atiku’s ally few hours to exit

Officers from the C4i Unit of Rivers State Police command in the early hours of today, Monday, May 29th, sealed-off a hotel and bar in the Elekahia axis of Port Harcourt.

No reason was given for the sealing of both properties. However, it is suspected that the immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike may have given the order before officially exiting the Government House.

Both sealed buildings, CSKR hotels and Priscy’s Bar belong to a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Honourable Jones Ogbonda who is known ally of former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar .

While confirming the incident, the owner of the property said at around 2:55 am, his hotel and bar were sealed by the State Police Unit of C4i.

He said staff and lodgers at both sealed premises were manhandled and forcefully ejected from the buildings.

” Nysom Wike just sent C4i police unit to seal my hotel, CSKR hotels and Priscy’s bar both at Elekahia. The police manhandled both lodgers and staff and forcefully drove out everyone in the premises,” a part of his message read.

It would be recalled that on 19th August 2022, Wike ordered the sealing of Priscy’s bar where staff and customers were arrested and detained by men of the Tactical Team of Nigeria Police Force, C4i. The bar was sealed for 11 days before the former governor directed it to be unsealed.
