ONOLGA vice chairman mourns death of Nkoro 4 Sim/Odu Coordinator

Vice Chairman of Opobo Nkoro local government area of Rivers State, Dr. Angela Anthony Oju-Kienmie has joined other well meaning people of the area to mourn the death of Mr. Obediah Arthur Idaminabo, Coordinator of Nkoro 4 Sim/Odu socio-political and Corps Sergeant Major (CSM) of The Salvation Army, Nkoro Corps, Rivers /Bayelsa Division.

Oju-Kienmie who spoke during a funeral service for the late idaminabo at the Salvation Army, Aggrey Road in Port Harcourt, Headquarters of Rivers/Bayelsa Division, described him as a husband, brother, cousin, uncle and leader with many parts.

“He was a very good man and lover of people without discrimination. Forgave easily, contagious laughter and smile- a very good motivator and believer in the promises of God,” she said.

Recalling their relationship Oju-Kienmie said he was one person that was very happy over her nomination to be vice chairman of the LGA and was always there for her family.

“He was one of the persons who was deeply happy for my lifting by God through the instruments he used. He encouraged me in all ramifications.

“He was there for me just as he was there for my late parents Elder and Mrs Anthony Oju-Kienmie and my siblings and all.  They loved him in return and never eluded him of parental blessings in cash and kind,” Oju-Kienmie said.

She further described him as a loyal and strong party faithful of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, especially in Ward 11 of the LGA.

In a sermon, the Divisional Commander, Lt. Col. Benson Mgbebuihe, urged Christians to be wary of where they will spend their eternity, urging them to stay away from evil.

“Whether you die now or later, where you spend your eternity matters. Now that you are alive, you have the opportunity to amend your ways.

“God expects us to live righteously because devil is looking for people to capture with him to hell. After death there will be judgement. Everything we do in this life Angels are taking record as every man will appear before the judgement throne of God”, he stated.
