Go for second tenure, Tai monarch tells Mbakpone

Paramount ruler of  Kpite community in Tai local council of Rivers State, His Majesty, King Samuel Nnee has praised the giant strides of the council chairmn,  Mbakpone Okpe, saying he deserves re-election in the forthcoming chairmanship poll.

Nnee described Okpe as the best of the best chairmen that have ruled the area.

Speaking at the official flagg-off of Tai Local Government Free Surgery Outreach in Kpite, the monarch said that the chairman has outperformed other leaders who had governed the local government area and therefore should seek re-election to continue the good work he has started in all the wards and communities in Tai.

“For me, it is not a surprise and I always say it at every forum, that you are a child who was born for leadership.

“I know you, and I know that is what you are delivering for your people. On behalf of your people, the people of Tai Local Government Area, I want to encourage you to do more, and I don’t need to explain the projects that you have done for us, because the projects speak for themselves in all the wards and villages in Tai,” he said.

He called on the chairman to consider putting himself up for re-election in the forthcoming local government chairmanship election because he has performed credibly well.

“There is no way to hide an eagle; you have a long way to go, and all the signature projects you are doing now will speak for you, and they’re speaking for you.

“When the time comes for marking, you will be marked very high, very high, and I want to join very good people in Tai Local Government Area to say that you are the best of the best. Fathers will sit and watch, and we will analyse and evaluate because you have touched several things others have not touched, and I wish you continued.

“If there are confirmations from God, I want to say please, on behalf of Tai people, the chiefs, elders, women, youths, and children, to ask you to gather more strength and do a replay, because anybody who does a good dance and everyone adjudges that the dance was a good one, there will be nothing wrong for that one to do a replay, so I want to call on you to do a replay match because the people of Tai will be behind you,” the king said.
