Evo monarch condoles Isiokpo Kingdom, Ikwerre over demise of Wigwe, others

The Eze Oha Evo III of Evo Kingdom, Rivers State,  King Leslie Nyebuchi Eke  has bemoaned the  unfortunate and tragic demise of late Mr. Herbert Wigwe the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank who was involved in a chopper crash last Friday in California in the United States of America.

The monarch in a statement by his media aide, Crysterbel Vincent described the death as one too many, in that the Bank Chief died alongside his wife and son.

The monarch regretted that the deceased died at a  time his people and the entire Ikwerre ethnic nation needed him most.

” It is quite unfortunate and traumatic that the deceased passed on at this time that he has concluded plans to bring a world class university to his community. That means his people were about to benefit from him before the tragedy struck”, the statement said.

While condoling with his brother monarch and  Nye Nwe Ali Isiokpo, King Blessing Wagor, the Evi monarch urged him to accept the situation in peace and to see it as an act -of -God.

The statement further enjoined the Isiokpo King to use their mourning period and think more on how to unite his people and make them think less of the situation.

“Actually, something great or even greater has happened to Ikwerre especially the Isiokpos. But they must take solace and be consoled”, he said.

King Eke appealed to the leadership of Ogbakor Ikwerre  Convention (Worldwide) and other affiliate Ikwerre groups to see Wigwe’s demise as an Ikwerre challenge and rally round the people of Isiokpo in solidarity.

The monarch further called for the immortalization of the business tycoon by the State Government to recognise his contribution in human capital development and sundry areas in the state and beyond.
