NULGE commends Fubara for directing promotion of LG workers

Rivers State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has appreciated the governor of the state, Sir Siminalayi Fubara for directing the promotion of local government workers with full financial benefits in the state.

Fubara gave the directive during a meeting with the union and heads of local government administrations yesterday in Port Harcourt.

Chairman of NULGE in the state, Clifford Paul in a statement, thanked the governor and prayed  for more  wisdom upon him.

He also pledged the loyalty, cooperation, solidarity and support of all Local Government workers of Rivers State for the governor.

Port Harcourt Spectator reports that Fubara, during the meeting with NULGE leadership and principal officers of the Local Government Councils directed the immediate promotion of Local Government workers of Rivers State with full financial benefits, immediate implementation of N30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Naira) minimum wage for Local Government workers, immediate implementation of the N35,000.00 (Thirty-Five Thousand Naira) wage award approved by the Federal Government to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy, inclusion of NULGE as a member of Local Government Pensions Board as provided by law and implementation of consolidated salary structure for Local Government workers retiring on grade level 17.
