2Baba’s death: Orashi community honors Rivers CP

People of Orashi in Rivers State have honored the State Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu for his exceptional leadership quality in enhancing the security architecture of the state.

The commendation and award came in light of recent successes, including the killing of notorious cult leader, Mr. Gift David Okpara (2 Baba) in Ahoada recently.

The Orashi region, comprising Abua/Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West, and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas, praised CP Disu and his men for bolstering confidence in law enforcement and fostering unity within the communities.

Comrade Emeni Ibe, the President General of Orashi National Congress who spoke when the organisation paid a courtesy visit on the CP at the Police Headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, lauded the police chief for the unprecedented achievements made under his watch.

He extended his community’s gratitude to the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies for their support and the Divisional Police Officers and Area Commanders in various localities for their dedication and commitment.

Responding, the Commissioner of Police, CP Tunji Disu, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated the constitutional duty of the police which is to protect life and property.

 He emphasized the condemnation of criminal acts and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining law and order in Rivers State.

Acknowledging the importance of community cooperation in tackling crime, the Commissioner of Police assured the Orashi National Congress and the people of Rivers State of continued collaboration between the police and other security agencies in chasing away criminals and upholding the rule of law.
