Ahead of the formal commissioning of the Bori Zonal Hospital in Khana Local Government Area on Wednesday, by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the South South Youths Initiative, SSYI, has called on residents of the LGA to unite and work with the immediate past chairmen of the area, Martins Nwigbo to give the governor a rousing welcome.
National President of SSYI, Comrade Imeabe Saviour Oscar, who made the call in a statement stated that Martin Nwigbo is the leader of the Sim Fubara Family in Khana and as such should be supported to host the governor.
He noted that in other LGAs where the governor has gone to commission projects, that it’s the immediate past chairmen that welcomes the governor and as such Khana can’t be different.
He urged politicians to unite and not always create the impression that Khana leaders are not coordinated before the outside world, emphasizing that pursuing personal interest won’t benefit the governor’s political family and the area in general.
Oscar said: “I want to call on all sons and daughters of Khana to join hands with the immediate past chairman of Khana LGA, Martins Nwigbo who is the leader of the Sim Fubara Family in the area to welcome the governor for the commissioning of the Bori Zonal Hospital.
“In other LGAs where governor has been going for commissioning, the governor’s supporters all work together with the immediate past chairmen to receive him so the case of Khana can’t be different.
” Whoever is working behind just to prove himself before the governor and trying to push for a personal interest is not doing the Simplified Family in Khana any good,” .
