The Rivers State House of Assembly has invited nine commissioners’ nominee fowarded to it for screening as members of the state cabinet by Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
This is coming after about two weeks of speculation over the purported transmition of the list to the assembly by the governor and the names of those on the list.
According to a statement by the Clerk of the House, Emeka Amadi, the nominees are expected to forward forty copies of their curriculum vitae, credentials and tax clearance to the lawmakers for screening.
The nominees according to the statement are: Professor Datonye Alasia, Mr. Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor and Mrs Charity Deemua.
Others are; Barrister Tamuno Williams, Mr. Lekue Kenneth, Barrister Otonye TKD Amachree and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
