Chairman of Khana Local Government Area, Dr. Thomas Bariere, has received in audience a delegation from Kapnor Community in the area, who paid him a courtesy visit to express their appreciation for his contributions to the development of their community. The delegation was led by HRH, King Baleera Lah-Monday Noryaa IV, Paramount King and Natural Ruler of Kapnor Community in Babbe Kingdom.
During the visit, the monarch explained that the purpose of their coming was to thank the chairman for the water project he executed in Kapnor Community during his first tenure in office. In addition, he appreciated Bariere for the numerous political appointments given to indigenes of Kapnor Community in his current administration, noting that the gesture has strengthened the people’s confidence in the leadership of the council.
Furthermore, the monarch stated that the people of Kapnor have not had it this good in recent times, as several of their sons and daughters have been entrusted with positions of responsibility under the present administration. According to him, the community was particularly pleased with the chairman’s developmental strides and his peaceful disposition toward all communities in Khana.
In his response, Dr. Thomas Bariere expressed gratitude to the delegation for the visit and their show of appreciation. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Khana Local Government Area, assuring them that his administration will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy while promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development across the local government.
