FSARS kill four in face-off with residents in Port Harcourt

Now fewer than four persons have been reported dead in the face-off between men of the  Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS and residents of Nkpolu in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Although, some residents say as much as six persons may have been killed in the incidence.

Tension has been rife in the area since Tuesday morning as the area has been under lock down by security operatives for over several hours.

The situation forced residents to flee while businesses were equally shut.

Some youths were alleged to have vandalised business premises during the burial procession of a 26-year-old Aleruchi Woko who was shot by a DSS officer attached to military convoy in November 2018 during a protest on the East West Road.

The state police command is yet to comment on the matter at the time of this report.
