Senate of the Rivers State University, RSU, has approved the appointment of Prof. Nlerum Sunday Okogbule is the substantive Vice Chancellor of the school.
The confirmation was contained in a statement by the registrar of the school, Dr. S.C Enyindah.
Enyindah said the 13th Senate confirmed the appointment at its emergency meeting held on Thursday.
Until his appointment as VC, Prof. Okogbule was the Dean of Postgraduate School and former Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University.
He succeeds Prof. Opuenebo Binya Owei who till Thursday morning was the Acting Vice Chancellor after the sack of the immediate past VC, Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia who was drafted from the University of Port Harcourt.
