Khana Community Nabs Two Suspected Transformer  Vandals

By: Kpazoo Morrison

‎Two suspected vandals identified as Batambari Anornee and Lucky Miracle, both from Taabaa Community in Khana Local Government Area, have been arrested for allegedly stealing aluminium bare conductors and vandalising electricity transformers.

‎The suspects were apprehended by  members of the community and subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution.

‎The development has been described as a testament to the growing security consciousness among residents, following repeated calls by the  Chairman of the Council, Dr. Thomas Bariere, for communities to remain vigilant and protect their environment from criminal elements.

‎Residents commended the swift response of community members, noting that the arrest demonstrates the effectiveness of the chairman’s security advocacy and the willingness of the people to collaborate in safeguarding public infrastructure and maintaining peace across the LGA.

‎Although Police authorities are yet to confirm the arrest, however, residents say the suspects have been handed over to the Bori Divisional Police Headquarters.
