Rivers: Cultists kill man after robbery

One Vurasi Bagio, an indigene of Kpor in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State who is suspected to be a member of a cult gang has been arrested by the operatives of Kpor Police Division for the allegedly killing one Aborlo Kaola.

Bagio and his gang was said to have robbed Kaola of his phone and cash close to his home last Saturday.

The incident, community sources said, happened around 9 pm close to the popular Kibangha market in the area.

Kaola, from nearby Nweol Community was reportedly killed on Sunday night after he was said to have traced the cultists who robbed him of his phones to the neighbouring Bera community.

He was also said to have reported the cultists who robbed him of his phone and money to his family in Bera community.

At the time of this report, it is not clear whether the State Police Command has started investigation into the matter.
