Police arraign officer for killing Keke rider in Port Harcourt

The Rivers State Police Command has arraigned one Inspector Oba Christian for killing a Keke rider, 17-year-old Ikechukwu Ikechi popular known as Schoolboy at the Elikpokwuodu Community of Rukpokwu in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area.

The inspector, 46, shot the Keke rider on the 10th of December for refusing to give him #100 bribe.

The dismissed officer was arraigned before Chief Magistrate, A.O Amadi in Port Harcourt.

The State Police Command accused him of murder.

Chief Magistrate Amadi who declined jurisdiction on the matter, ordered that the case file be transferred to Department of Public Prosecution for advice.
