King of Ken-Khana Kingdom in Rivers State, HRM, Mene Barile Deebom has felicitated with the chairman of Khana local government area, Dr Bariere Thomas on his successful swearing-in as the chairman of the council.
He urged him to bring the needed development to the area by replicating the developmental strides State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
He used the medium to thank Governor Wike for the numerous developmental projects executed in Rivers State since his assumption of office as the executive governor of the state.
Deebom who stated this in a statement by his director of media, Mene Magnus Edooh said the three districts making up the area must be carried along in development, adding that he should ensure there is adequate security of lives and properties.
“There are three traditional districts in Khana, namely: Babbe district, Ken-Khana district and NyoKhana district, this is a prove that we are the second largest LGA in Nigeria. Three years is like three days, please ensure you swing into action immediately by availing the needed dividend of democracy to our people”.
He added: “As the chairman of Ken-Khana Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers, we shall work with you to combat insecurity that almost bedeviled our beloved LGA”.
“It gladdens my heart to have one of my sons assumed the position of the Executive Chairman and pilot the affairs of our esteem and beloved LGA within my first year in office as Gbenemene Ken-Khana kingdom”.
The monarch called on stakeholders to give the council chairman the desired support needed to serve out his tenure.
