We need sovereign state, not pipeline contracts – Militants

The new militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, has described the Niger Delta stakeholders meeting held on Wednesday at Abuja as an insult to the people of the region, insisting that what the group is agitating for is a sovereign state and not pipeline contracts.

They also claimed responsibility for the blowing up of another NNPC crude oil and gas ‎trunk lines, near Warri, Delta State, at 11.45 pm on Thursday, boasting that the attack happened even though the facility was closely guarded by soldiers when its strike team struck.

In a message via tweeter today, the militants said: “At 11:45PM on Thursday, @NDAvengers blew up another NNPC Gas and Crude trunkline close to Warri.”

Other of it tweets read, “The Niger Delta stakeholders meeting is an insult to the people of the Niger Delta. What we need is a sovereign state, not pipeline contracts.

“To the International Oil Companies, IOCs and the Nigeria military, watch out, something big is about to happen and it would shock the whole world.”
