Cultists sack Rivers community, kill 6

By: Felix Ikpotor.

Suspected cultists Sunday night sacked Ibaa community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State with atleast six persons feared killed.

The cultists we gathered are members of the De-Gbam group invaded the community around 11pm last night in search of their rival cult members, the Icelanders who have been camping in the community.

Phspectator learnt that the cultist shot sporadically in the community killing the six persons in the process.

We gathered further that even the mini police station in the area was overwhelmed by the sophisticated fire power of the De Gbam cult boys as the policemen scampered for safety while members of the town are now taking refuge in nearby Rumuji community.

A source in the area told our correspondent that the shooting continued till today morning when members of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad, SARS arrived.

Confirming the incidence, Caretaker Committee Chairman of the area, John Wokoma who earlier visited the community urged the fleeing inhabitants to return home, stressing that their continues stay in Rumuji could make the cultist to loot their properties.
