Prayers important to our success, Rivers deputy gov tells Christian leaders

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo has re-echoed her belief in the efficacy of prayers.

Dr. Banigo re-echoed this while playing host to a delegation of Kalabari Ministers and Christian Leaders at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday, 28th March 2022.

Banigo said, “God has been faithful and He has answered our prayers. I will always be with you; I love prayers I believe prayer is what attains your destiny, it pushes into our destiny, so prayer is so important”.

The Deputy Governor who disclosed, that a morning devotion and a prayer session is held each morning in her office said “we do not lean on our own understanding, in everything we do, we acknowledge Him because He has been directing our path, thank you for the prayers you had for the Governor, the State, and for the Kalabari land”.

Banigo said her life has never remained the same since she gave her life to Christ in 1966, stressing that God has preserved and has always told her to keep her eyes on him at all times.

She said God brought her here for a purpose, which according to her, would be fulfilled by His Grace, adding that whenever she faces challenges she turns her face like Hezekiah and He has never failed her.

In his remarks, the Coordinator, Kalabari Ministers/Christian Leaders and Kalabari Unity Prayer Forum, Apostle Taribo West who said prayer moves mountains, disclosed that the Forum mobilizes Kalabari people to prayer sessions every three months, to pray for peace, progress, and prosperity of the Kalabari people.

He said they had come from the nooks and crannies of the three Kalabari Local Government Areas to pay homage, respect, and pray for success of the Deputy Governor in her present and future endeavors.

In their goodwill messages, Dr. Emi Membere Otaji and Rev. Suku Ngiagia extolled the sterling leadership qualities of the Deputy Governor, which includes utmost diligence in carrying out all assignments given to her, humility, loyalty, and the fear of God, as well as the Ambassador of Christ.
