A group, Rivers State Non Indigenous Group for Asiwaju (RISNIGA) has hailed the emergence of former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the APC Presidential Candidate for the 2023 general election.
Speaking at a special thanksgiving organized by the group in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Representative of BATS Vanguard and Coordinator of RISNIGA in the State, Dr. Jones Adeleke described Tinubu’s victory at the APC Presidential primary as well deserved.
Tinubu emerged the presidential flagbearer of the APC with 1,271 votes to defeat his closest rival and former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who garnered 316 and 235 votes respectively.
Jones said the group will continue to mobilize massive support from both indigenes and non-indigenes in Rivers State for the success of the APC presidential candidate in Rivers State ahead of the February 2023 election.
He thanked all the members of the group for their steadfastness, commitment and support for Tinubu, reminding them that despite his emergence as the APC’s presidential standard bearer, it is not over yet.
He further charged all state, local government, ward leaders and stakeholders of the group to brace up, stressing that more still needed to be done to galvanized more support for Tinubu, expressing optimism that his strong political structure, capacity, versed leadership experience, human development and huge capital investment in the Nigerian democracy, will spur him to massive victory.
“The essence of this gathering is to celebrate our principal, the Jagaban and Asiwaju of Nigeria on his victory and emergence as the APC flagbearer.
“This is the first stage of victory for him. In 2023, when the pendulum of victory swings, it will swings right or left, and it should be taken to a particular position where it can gather momentum and swing very well and that position is only for Asiwaju, so he is the only gladiator for the 2023 presidential election.
“I am more than 100 percent assured of Tinubu’s victory come 2023 at the polls. God has ordained him. He would beat all his opponents, be it Atiku Abubakar of the PDP or Peter Obi of the Labour Party, or anyone whosoever in the 2023 presidential election to emerge next President of Nigeria”.
In their separate speeches, RISNIGA Chairman, Alhaji Musa Ademola and Women Leader, Okorodi Nnena said the sole purpose of the group is to support the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and thanked God for his victory at the just concluded APC primary.
