Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Power, Hon. Solomon Abel Eke has assured that the prestigious Silverbird Peace Advocate of the year award for 2023 bestowed on Governor Siminalayi Fubara will serve as an encouragement for the governor to continue with his giant strides in the transformation of the state.
Eke gave the assurance in a statement shortly after the investiture of Governor Fubara as the Silverbird man of the year for 2023 in Lagos.
Eke , who is the immediate past Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, posited that the award has brought honour to the state and also shown that people outside Rivers State are taking cognizance of the laudable activities of the Governor as well as his rare sacrifices and commitment to peace and security.
While praying for God to continue to grant Governor Fubara the enablement to continue with his good work, he urged him not to rest on his oars as he is now the focal point in the drive to make positive differences in the country’s political landscape.
“Today, Rivers State is the cynosure of all eyes and point of discussion for all the right reasons. Our ebullient governor and man of peace brought more honours to our dear Rivers State as he was officially honoured as the Silverbird Peace Advocate of the year for 2023.
” This exceptional honour is for every Rivers son and daughter as well as those who share affiliations with us. I have no doubt that the award will stimulate our workaholic Governor to do more for our state.
” I join all Rivers people in prayers of thankfulness to the Almighty God for granting Governor Fubara the strength, grace and vision to be steadfast and unrelenting in his unwavering determination towards the rebuilding of Rivers State, ” he added.
